Spring Things

We have had a very busy week this week. I got a job as a food service manager for a child care center that I'm really excited about. We've also been bitten by the spring cleaning bug and have been cleaning and rearranging everything. Charlotte has decided that she loves to play in her bed, which I think is awesome. It makes me happy to hear her playing in her bed after her nap. Also, we had a great St. Patrick's Day with green waffles and scrambled eggs and a leprechaun cake (not pictured). Charlotte has begun Easter egg training and finds eggs that her grandma fills with raisins of goldfish crackers and hides. Charlotte has also found a new love for swings. We can't wait for the warmer weather.

Weekend

Hot air balloons! I love being in Snohomish because of all the hot air balloons. I think they are so pretty. From the ground of course. You couldn't pay me to go up in one. We also spent some time at the beach looking for seals to pop their heads up out of the water. We did see a few. I just LOVE living so close to the water. We also saw a train go by under the bridge. Charlotte was fearless, of course, and stayed right on the bridge as it flew past under her.

Snuggle Muffin

This is what mornings look like with a cuddly little girl who loves her boots and her blanket.

Babysitting

Charlotte's friend came over to play today while his mom had a job interview. It was so cute, but I am so glad that I don't have twins...:)

Ravenna Park

Spring made its way to the church. The sun was shining through the windows, so we had to go for a walk. We went to Ravenna Park by our house. Charlotte had all kinds of fans with her cute little outfit and the lighting was perfect for some pictures.

Para Para Paradise

Spring is well on it's way. We have these lovely cherry blossoms in our house from the yardwork last weekend. Plants and tree all over have buds on them already and we wake up every morning to birds chirping. We went on a hike today at Paradise Valley Conservation Area. It was a perfect day for a hike and we narrowly escaped the heavy rain that continued for the rest of the day. Spring in Seattle is going to be beautiful.

(sorry, I got a little carried away with the blur effect...)

Beach and Berliner Döner

We heard a rumor that we were supposed to have great weather today, so Charlotte and I put on our sunniest yellow pants/tights and went out    to the beach to find the sun. (not that our eyes could handle it since we are quickly becoming Seattleites...we need sunglasses all the time)
We stopped by Berliner Döner  for dinner on the way back. We haven't had those (picture a German/Turkish gyro) since Germany and it really brought us back. It was fun to walk around downtown and realize how big this city we live in really is. Unfortunately I forgot to charge the camera battery and it ran out, but these pictures will do:)
