The Crepe Escape

Charlotte was pretty sad that her Aunt Katie had to fly back to Utah for college yesterday, so she invited her to have breakfast in Snohomish. We went to The Crepe Escape, which was amazing. I had a savory veggie crepe, but I'll definitely need to go back for the dessert crepes. We walked along the Snohomish River and stopped by the Snohomish bakery for some pastries before we left. I love First Street in Snohomish. 

Our vacation is coming to a close. It's been nice to spend so much time hanging out with family. 

Happy Birthday Ian!

It was great to talk to Ian on Skype on Christmas. He's in Scotland right now as a missionary. It's his birthday today, so happy birthday!

Piano

 Charlotte's last Christmas/birthday present came in the mail today. She loves it. She and Abby were getting really into playing the big piano, so they loved this little miniature one. It is SO cute!

They even played with the box, although they look a little scared in this picture.  

Winterfest

 We went to Winterfest in Seattle today. They had a little village and ice skating. We walked around downtown and saw all the sights and Christmas decorations. It was my first time to the gum wall, which was a little gross, but I had to see it. Pike Place was great as always. We rode the monorail down. Charlotte and Abbey did really well and had a great time too.

Christmas

Charlotte woke up at 6:05 this morning to open presents. She was very excited and didn't stop talking.  She loves her new presents. She played with each one until she got distracted by the next. Abby and Charlotte especially liked taking each other's toys

Christmas Eve

Yesterday was the annual Christmas Eve dinner and gift exchange. It was nice to have so much family together. We got some great presents. A sweater for Brad, more cupcake supplies for me, and a shopping cart for Charlotte. We had so much good food! Bring on the New Year's resolutions!

A New Outfit

Charlotte got a new festive outfit yesterday and wore it to church. She looked like a cute little ballerina. 

Pathway of Lights

 My mom came to town today and is staying with us for a few days. Charlotte's loving all the attention. We went to the Pathway of Lights at Green Lake and it was great. We went the whole three mile loop and it was beautiful. Charlotte had a good time in the stroller and a great time being held. She was singing and screaming (happily) and having a great time. There were carolers and luminaries all along the path. The camera had a tough time capturing the actual lights(lots of frustration), but this is the best that I could do...

We are definitely in Seattle. They were singing 'O composting!' instead of 'O Christmas Tree' and other earth friendly lyrics to traditional Christmas sings.

 These elves got into little boats with blue lanterns and went all around the lake. It was beautiful.
