Laptop

Lately this is what I see every time I leave the room. She loves to play with my laptop. She has to pull it right up so that her hands are in the right position to press the keys. Luckily, she doesn't really do too much, just clicks on the ads from the sidebar and turns off the volume. I think I might have to store the laptop in a safer place and not use it when baby girl is awake:)

Yard Work

Since we are apartment-dwelling city folk now and don't actually have a yard of our own, yard work is still a novelty and we sometimes use our weekends to do it at Brad's parents' house.  We had a blast playing outside and trimming the trees and hedges.

(Charlotte got a little bruise. It's hard work pushing the wheelbarrow.)

Baby Shower

We put on a baby shower the other night for a girl from church. The decorations were so cute that I had to put a few pictures on here. We played some outrageous games, of course, and had delicious food. Charlotte got to hang out with her dad. This picture was taken after she tried whipped cream and smeared it all over her face. She had to stick her tongue out just as the picture was being taken.

Snoqualmie Falls

We went to Snoqualmie Falls on our way to Snohomish this afternoon. It was a rainy day, but the sun came out as we got out of the car to see the falls, so it was perfect. I love waterfalls and this one is amazing. Everything was so green and bright and the mist came up over the falls.

Charlotte got a bouncy ball at Old Navy and didn't let go of it long enough to try it out. She didn't want to lose it.

President's Day Off

So we spent most of our President's Day like this:
Poor Charlotte is finally over her cold, but I can feel some of her teeth coming in. We just needed a day to relax and eat all of the leftover Valentine's treats.
She was doing much better today. She pulled all the pillows off of the couches and was rolling around and dancing with the blanket. She has starting singing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. I can only understand "up above the..." then it trails off into her own improv. It's pretty cute though.

Kayak Point

We had to change our plans for yesterday when Charlotte woke up with a runny nose and a little fever, so we stayed a little closer to home. We went to Kayak Point park and Mukilteo beach instead of Orcas Island. We took our mandatory (usually unsuccessful) jumping picture on the dock. The weather was amazing and we could see the snow capped mountains all around. We also had to check out the President's Day sales at the outlets and got some great deals:)

Playgroup and Paper Cranes (and my Valentines Birthday)

I woke up to hundreds of paper cranes with memories and love notes in them on my ceiling. Brad has been writing me these love notes since we were first dating. He wrote 27 new ones for my birthday and folded all the old ones. They are hanging all over the apartment right now and it is so beautiful. In between the cranes there are heart shaped beads to contrast to the white. I was locked in my room until the breakfast was finished then Charlotte and Brad brought me some camembert and cranberries with crackers for breakfast. It was SOO delicious. They also brought some presents, cards and some pretty little orange roses. They are so good to me!

Charlotte had a little playgroup yesterday afternoon too. Those kids are so cute!

Bones Party: Valentine's Edition

I put my party planning powers to use and made some delicious Valentine's treats and heart shaped alfredo pizzas. Charlotte's favorites were the sugar cookies, especially the frosting. She's a girl after my own heart. This week's episode of Bones was pretty exciting, so it was good that we had some delicious food to comfort us.
