Bob's Corn

The rain finally cleared up yesterday, so we decided to go to a pumpkin patch. We met up with one of Charlotte's friends and walked around the pumpkin patch. Charlotte and her friend loved playing with the enormous pumpkins in the pumpkin patches, but decided that they preferred the tiny pumpkins. I love Fall in Washington.

 Seriously, she loved the pumpkins...
That's Charlotte's friend with the mohawk on the right. She wasn't so sure about him...:)

This is the cow train. We didn't ride because we thought that Charlotte would jump out or something. Maybe in a few years.

Kla Haya Days

We went to Kla Haya Days last weekend in Snohomish. It's an annual festival that they have. The frog is the mascot, I guess, so  that's why some of the pictures have frogs. We went to the parade and the street fair. We were unsuccessful at finding the glowing hot air balloons at night, but it was fun to drive around. I love all the little summer festivals around here. Charlotte was loving the parade.

Carwashing

This summer has been pretty busy. I've picked up some more hours at work and we've been having tons of adventures. Here are some pictures from washing the car a few weeks ago. Charlotte loved helping scrub the car.

Took the Chevy to the Levee

We had an adventure on Thursday and went to the Snohomish Farmer's Market. I'm been on the lookout for flowers like the ones at Pike's Place since we went there a few weeks ago. We finally found some. They smelled amazing. I loved the peonies, poppies, and irises. After that we took our civic to the levee. We looked out at the Snohomish River for a while so that Charlotte could calm down. That girl just decides when she's tired of the car and won't stop whining until she's out. We found an amazing ginkgo tree along the way too. It's definitely the biggest one I've seen since our honeymoon in Weimar.

Swimming Adventure

We took Charlotte swimming this weekend for the first time in a while. She was more hesitant than we expected. She did run fearlessly into the Puget Sound on multiple occasions, after all. We thought she would love it, but she was very nervous and scared of the water. There were a lot of splashing toys and she was tired and there were a bunch of other kids, so those things probably contributed as well, but she just preferred to sit on the side in her chair and watch, which was fine with us.

Sunday Adventures

My parents used to always make us go on walks or bike rides or some other family activity on Sunday. I hated it as a teenager. As a parent I can definitely see the value of it and so we are starting Charlotte young. This will help her like it when she's a teenager, right?

Flower World!

We took a trip to visit Aunt Katie at Flower World! It's a pretty place. So many flowers and plants. And ducks, of course. We even found some amazing gingko trees.

Car Wash

The weather has been amazing this weekend. We spent so much time outside. On Friday night we played on  the grass and washed cars. We are very excited for more warm, sunny days.

Charlotte loved this big box that she could play in.
She liked the dandelions too.
