If graduation is always like this then I want to get my masters...

The graduation celebration was amazing. It was so great to have so much family around to help. It was a very packed couple of days, but we made plenty of time for relaxing and lots of shopping:)

We started everything off with the dietetics pictures and reception and then   commencement. Can you find us in the crowd:) We are obviously very attentive.

Charlotte thought the whole thing was for her:) I think that was probably the main reason that most of the family came. She was certainly the center of attention.

Charlotte was pretty wiped out by the end of the marathon. We were in the Marriott Center from 1pm to 7pm on Friday. It was a long day, but so worth it.

Finally some wind!

YAY! We finally got a chance to fly our kite. Ok, it was a bit of a process and didn't last very long, but we did get it up in the air at least. I landed a sweet job that has nothing to do with my major and Brad and Charlotte picked me up from my first day of work postgrad and we had a picnic in the park.

We are super excited to use our new bike trailer from DI. What a deal. I heart that place.

Charlotte looks a little scared of that other baby in the reflection... and we'll have to prop her up a little more.

School's out 4eva!

Yay! I'm done! I had this song going through my head all day:) SCHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLS OUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT FORRRRRRRRRRRRRRR EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!! I'm pretty excited. We celebrated by watching The Chorus and feasting on fruit snacks. Yay! I can't wait for all the graduation festivities. All of our guests should be here by tonight.

Charlotte baby is just as cute as can be. She passed her four month doctor's appointment today. YIKES! She's getting so old!

Closing socials and reading days

Today we made the most of our last reading day by PARTYING! Ok, there was a little homework, Brad worked, and I went to a review session. I have two more finals until I'm home free! We went to the dietetics closing social tonight. The food was delicious and it was great to see everyone. Charlotte LOVED all the attention:) What a social butterfly!? Of course she just needed a little power nap and snack to rejuvenate. I may have received the senior superlative award for "most likely to seem quiet...but is secretly sassy." haha. Brad says they hit the nail on the head :)...I love it!

And Spring in Utah is beautiful. Hail, rain, sun, snow, you never really know.

She rolls

Guess who decided to roll over today! She wanted to celebrate the end of classes with her own accomplishment:) The best way to get out of tummy time is to roll onto your back. Way to go girl!

We're almost done!

School is winding down and I am so excited to see a little more of this:

And a little less of this:

YAY! Only a few more days:)

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! Charlotte was super excited for Easter. It's her first one! She found all the eggs on the Easter egg hunt like a champ. She even tried to eat them with the shell on.

Brad made the traditional creamed eggs on toast for breakfast. Everyone's favorite:)
Here are the beautiful Easter eggs Charlotte found.
Charlotte in her Easter dress. She's all worn out from all the festivities.

We made a trip to Salt Lake on Saturday and explored City Creek Center again and took pictures around temple square. Charlotte was soaking up the sun and trying to get rid of those pasty white winter legs...

Bountiful Basket

Well, Charlotte is sure loving her new toy. She could chew on that thing all day long and when she isn't chewing she's talking to her little giraffe friends.
On another note, we decided to get a Bountiful Basket this week. SO MUCH PRODUCE! There are two pineapples in there. Just saying. If you like fruits and vegetables, you should definitely look up the website and see if they deliver near you. All that for $15. Deal.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

This is what we woke up to this morning:

We were a little disappointed, but it looked pretty. We might have to go make some snow angels later. I'm sure Charlotte would be good at that.

Book Club

Brad had book club tonight and he made lemon sponge pudding.
YUM!
Lemon Sponge Pudding
2 Tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature, plus more for ramekins
2/3 cup sugar plus more for ramekins
pinch of salt
grated zest of 1 large lemon
3 eggs separated
3 tablespoons of flour
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon milk

Heat oven to 325F. Butter four 6-ounce ramekins, individual ceramic pie pans, or glass custard cups. Coat with sugar. In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, sugar, and salt. Mix with an electric mixer on medium speed until crumbly. Mix in the lemon zest and egg yolks. Mix in the flour, then the lemon juice and milk.
In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff. Fold the beaten whites into the egg yolk mixture. Ladle into the prepared ramekins. Set the filled ramekins in a baking pan and pour hot water into the pan to come halfway up the sides of the ramekins. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the puddings have set. Cool puddings on a wire rack for 20 minutes before serving. Serve in ramekins or invert onto plates.

Charlotte doing what she does

Hi, I'm Charlotte and it is so important that I kick this bouncy seat as hard as I can. Look at my face.
Quit distracting me. This is no joke.

Babies and Cameras

I don't think Charlotte likes the camera very much...Every time she is smiling and I pull out the camera she freezes and makes the same face. A phase? Let's hope so...I mean the deer in the headlights look is great:) She's just so cuuuuttteeee!
