Conference Weekend

After watching General Conference on Sunday we went down to Thomas' Eddy for a little walk. The last time we were here Charlotte was still pretty little and was content to just sit in her carrier. Today she wanted to be an independent woman though. She decided to blaze her own trail and find all sorts of treasures.  The water was really high in the river and there were lots of puddles along the path.

It was hard to keep that girl on the trail. We had to resort to all kinds of games to keep her happy and out of the mud. It was a good thing that we were the only ones there because we may have chased her up the trail to get her to keep going. All I had to say was,"I'm gonna get you!" and she took off. She also thinks it is SO funny to be upside down, so I did that a few times too.

I got these beautiful tulips from the director at work since we had our first week (well, three days) this week. They greeted us when we got back to the apartment.

Backyard Adventures

We have been staying in Snohomish for the weekend because it is General Conference for our church. It is so nice to get away from the city sometimes. Just walking around the backyard is an adventure. So that's what we did.

Playing

I think we were a little bit spoiled by the nice weather for Spring Break. We were so cold when we went outside to play on the playground today. All the pretty trees and flowers helped remind us that it really is Spring though. We can't wait for some more sunny days, but we will work with what we get:)

Easter Sunday

We had a great Easter this year. As you can tell by the number of posts with tons of pictures, we have been having a lot of adventures. We went to church in Seattle and had an amazing sacrament meeting there and then went back to Snohomish for a family dinner. Charlotte wore one of her Easter/Spring dresses and had a great time playing with the other little girls and with her Easter presents.

Easter Parade

I have never been to an Easter parade before, I guess they've been having one in Snohomish for the last 33 years. I'm so glad that we went. The weather was amazing. I even have tan lines on my arms from the sun. It was on First Street where all the antique shops are and it felt like we went back in time for a while. I loved it.
This is the basket of a hot air balloon.
The Seafair Pirates had a really loud cannon on their float and they even went through the parade twice so that we could all really lose our hearing.
Charlotte loved it. The loud noises didn't even seem to scare her. She just clapped.

Brad and I want to join the Sauerkraut Band someday. :)
