Merry Christmas

Storytime

The last present on Charlotte's birthday was the night before Christmas. She was excited to have a new book to read before bedtime. Unforunately she lost interest quickly and we had to distract her with her new rocking chair, but I'm sure she'll appreciate the book more when she's older.  

Birthday Party!

Today was the big birthday party for Charlotte. It was a big success and she loved it. She got some great presents and she had some very happy and excited reactions to all of them. We want to make sure that her birthday is always special even though it's so close to Christmas.

Sassy Charlotte learned a new trick on her rocking chair...We're still trying to teach her how to sit down and get down on her own. She's a daredevil. 

Winter Solstice

 We had our traditional winter solstice celebration last night around the fire. It was pretty cold, so we raided the old winter clothes box and came up with three pairs of long johns....Don't worry, our jeans and regular clothes are on underneath:) Charlotte loved it, but was a little cold too.

Charlotte has been enjoying some of her new birthday presents. We have had a lot of picnics since yesterday:)

Birthday Girl!

Charlotte is one today! I can't believe how fast this year has flown by. She has such a fun personality and we can't imagine life without her. She LOVED her birthday presents. We're rationing them because her real birthday party isn't until Saturday when her cousin gets here. She's going to be in present overload by the time Christmas comes around. That's what happens when you have a birthday so close to Christmas. We love you Charlotte!
